Acrylics on canvas board. An assignment for my Metaphor, Medium, and Message class. The theme is home, and I feel the most at home around Christmastime in the snow, so there ya go. This is the first in a series of three.

As far as paintings go, though, I think this came out pretty well. I had so much trouble with the lighting but I think it works. Somehow. I haven't done lighting with painting before. I haven't done much painting before, period. :)

I dunno. I have two more to do before Wednesday. I had better get cracking. D: D: D:

Oh, this is so pretty! And the light from the streetlight looks exactly like it does when it's snowing. Lovely job. :)

I love this. It made me think of Christmas right away! and even though it is a snow scene the lighting made it feel warm and homey.

oohhh so beautiful your painting is. <3 I love how you used purple and yellow, the contrast is really interesting and definitely not what I would have in mind for a snowy scene, but you make it work somehow! :O

That's so pretty.. I love all the blue and purple(and yellow). I can't wait for winter.
